This is just a quick note to let you know that, from September, I will be moving on from the lunchtime talks as I have accepted an offer to become the new Assistant Minister of Spicer Street Church in St Albans. This is an exciting move for us as family (the church is where my wife used to work and so she has lots of friends there) although it is with a heavy heart that I will move on from my role at Covent Garden Talks.
I have been involved at the lunchtime talks for seven years now, four as a punter and three as part of staff team and it has been a great privilege to serve our heavenly Father as we look for the advance of the Kingdom amongst the workplaces of this unique part of town. I will certainly be staying in touch and, as I’m not moving very far, hope to be able to pop in and pay a visit every once in a while!
I am also delighted to be able to let you know that the role of heading up the lunchtime talks will be taken on by Andrew Holt. (You can hear an interview with Andrew here). Andrew will be joining from St Helen’s Bishopsgate where he currently heads up both a ministry on a local council estate and the Christianity Explored ministry. Prior to his current work for the church he worked in financial PR. Andrew will be an absolutely cracking addition to the team and I have no doubt that the works will thrive under his leadership.
It’s business as usual for the next couple of months and Andrew will be around at the lunchtime talks over the next month or so and I will be pointing him out so please introduce yourselves to him.
With my very best,
