Lunchtime Talks

During the month of May we’re thinking about ‘Urban Myths’ at Covent Garden Talks and asking, ‘is what you’ve heard about Christianity true?’

We’ll be thinking each week about a widely held belief about Christianity and assessing how accurate it really is when compared to the Bible. Lots of opportunities for questions each week, so come prepared to engage!

Thurs 3 May – ‘Science has disproved God’, Dr Andrew Sach

Thurs 10 May – ‘God wants people to be religious’, Rev Mark O’Donoghue

Thurs 17 May – ‘Christians don’t live in the real world‘, Rico Tice

Thurs 24 May - ‘All faiths are basically the same’, Reuben Hunter

Thurs 31 May – ‘God wouldn’t allow so much suffering’, Jamie Child

Thurs 7 June – ‘Question a Christian’, Panel Q&A with Kev Murdoch

At Covent Garden Talks we believe that God speaks to us as we listen to his words in the Bible.

For this reason we meet on Thursday lunchtimes for a short talk from the Bible and a chance to chat and ask questions over lunch; or feel free to just run back to work if you need to.

We begin at 1:05, and finish around 1:40.  Lunch is £3 and we are based in the Swiss Church.  Everyone welcome — please join us.
